How we picked

Location and published rules

Each pick rests on where the hotel is and what it charges for parking, pets, breakfast and extras. For cleanliness and service, read the recent guest reviews on Expedia.

Choose the area first. From downtown and the Strand you walk to restaurants and the cruise terminals. The east end of the Seawall is close to the Pleasure Pier and Stewart Beach. Heading west along the Seawall, the resorts get bigger. The West End has beach houses and a resort right on the sand.
